Is LVL as green as Victorian hardwood timber?
Victorian hardwood is a local product, grown and processed in Victoria. All LVL products are imported, some from interstate, many travelling long distances from overseas – this transport requirement provides a significant fuel and CO2 emission impact. LVL also uses high amounts of resorcinol glues – not an issue with natural, organic solid hardwood products.
