You do need a prescription for Lunesta. Benadryl, which is over the counter, will knock you out as well though. If you do end up getting a prescription for sleeping pills, I would recommend Trazodone over Lunesta any day. I pop one Trazodone and I’m out cold – no matter what the circumstances – all night long.
