Is Loyola University in a good part of chicago?
Let me put it this way: I wouldn’t have a problem with any of my friends attending Loyola and taking day or night classes & using the public transportation to get around, but I would definitely tell them that living near or on campus is sort of pushing it. The good news is Loyola is right along the red line so that opens your options up a lot. You can look into neighborhoods like Lincoln Park, Lincoln Square, Lakeview, Wrigleyville, Andersonville, Uptown…neighborhoods also serviced by the red line, and it’s a short trip. Depends on what you want to pay in rent though. The most affordable options would be Lincoln Square & Andersonville and both are great neighborhoods.
