Is Lou Dobbs creating “Yellow Journalism”?
Gentle readers of this American Chronicle, each and every person within the United States and the World, has the right to be told the truth. He or She has the legal right to be given honest facts as directly as possible. Towards this purpose, the ‘World News Media’ has the responsibility to provide unbiased and untarnished facts to the people of the World; and when members of the Free Press push aside their own personal Ethics and Ideals in order to please their corporate bosses, they must no longer be taken seriously as Free Press Reporters. Subjective fairness’ is the ability to put aside one’s own personal bias and to report the facts as honestly as possible, even and especially when those facts conflict with the personal subjective bias of the reporter. In the past this form of journalism was known as ‘objective reporting’ but even then ‘Yellow Journalism’ (which was a reference to the commercial Yellow Pages of the Telephone Book) crept into the front pages of many Newspapers.
