Is london more dangerous than a US city such as new york?
I don’t find New York dangerous. Maybe if you go the wrong neighborhood, but generally speaking it’s very safe. I’ve walked Manhattan from end to end multiple times, ridden the subway (tube in your native tongue) been out at night – including other boroughs (Bronx) and never felt I was in danger. I’m acquainted with some people who live on Staten Island that you would probably cross the street to avoid if you saw them walking towards you on the sidewalk. Nicest friendliest lot you’d ever meet, but they look they would just as soon kill you as step out of your way. That doesn’t mean you couldn’t get mugged if you were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Sorry, but the average American doesn’t even know gangs exist in London.
