Is load management the same thing as load shedding?
Sometimes. Some manufacturers refer to load management as load shedding. However, each transfer switch or generator manufacturer has chosen to implement this type of feature differently. Not all load management features work the same way. Unlike the PowerPause Load Management feature, most load shedding works by locking out the non-essential load whenever the generator is running. The GenTran PowerPause Load Management feature allows the non-essential loads to run whenever generator capacity is available.
