Is liquid zeolite a supplement or a drug?
Liquid zeolite is sold as a food supplement, and yet there is a patent for its use as an epithelial cell cancer treatment. Many food supplements, such as Vitamin C and Omega 3 fatty acids, can be used therapeutically, but that does not make them drugs. Dr. Harvey Kaufman, the cancer researcher who formulated liquid zeolite, originally planned to move forward with the FDA drug-approval process. However, bringing a new drug to market is extremely expensive and time-consuming, and the challenge proved to be daunting. Dr. Kaufman then introduced liquid zeolite to biochemist Rik Deitsch. Recognizing the product to be safe, natural, and non-toxic, Deitsch knew it could be brought to market much faster and at a much lower cost as a nutritional supplement rather than as a drug.
