Is lipodissolve FDA-approved and does it work?
The FDA approves only prescription medications and medical devices. When we use lipodissolve, we inject phosphatidylcholine (lecithin), which is a food supplement. As a result, this does not come under the purview of the FDA. In our experience, lipodissolve certainly does work in approximately 80% of all cases for the treatment and reduction of unwanted fat. It also works in the treatment of cellulite, although, the results we see in the treatment of unwanted cellulite the success rate is approximately 40 to 50%. We have pioneered a technique called LipoDissolve Ultra, in which ultrasound massage is applied both before and after the lipodissolve treatments. I believe when ultrasound massage is applied to the target areas before treatment, it makes the tissue more receptive to the medication, and when ultrasound massage is applied after the treatment, it makes sure that the medication is distributed in a smooth, even manner so the patient gets a smooth, even response.
