Is LEED an extra step in the design process?
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Designa third party certification program by the U.S. Green Building Council) should not be another step in the design process. Reducing energy use and energy waste and solid waste without sacrificing the built setting’s benefits to users should be de rigueur across all aspects of the design process.
