Is Learning More Influenced by Media or Instruction?
Both instruction methods and types of distance media may influence learning. This paper explores differences between East and West distance-learning environments and implications for distance education media uses. Cultural traditions affect expectations for teaching and learning behavior. This paper suggests how teacher-centered and learner-centered methods impact media uses and the resulting achievement of learning outcomes in distance education.
