Is Laundry-Trak ODBC/OLEDB compliant?

0

Yes, with the Pervasive engine in place. The standard format is Btrieve 6.15 (32-bit, legacy). While technically this format can be accessed thru ODBC/OLEDB with the appropriate drivers and installation, it is not practical nor supported. For ODBC/OLEDB access a user must instead use the Pervasive engine which has an ODBC engine built within it and is fully ODBC compliant. Laundry-Trak itself connects to the data files natively (i.e. it uses the faster transactional engine), not via ODBC (i.e. it does not use the SQL engine). To access the data via ODBC (using database programs like Microsoft Access or OpenOffice.org Base; spreadsheet programs such as Microsoft Excel; report writers such as Crystal Reports; web scripting languages such as PHP; other programming languages such as Delphi, Clarion or Visual Basic, etc.) or thru ODBC, DDF’s are required and these can be provided (a nominal fee applies) upon request.
