Is Laser assisted Hair Removal Permanent?
Yes, laser treatment does remove hair and permanently reduce the re-growth of new hair. For most people, completing the treatment plan will essentially clear the area of recurring hair, however in others, there may be a threshold in which some resilient hairs will return again and again, but become much softer and finer. In some cases, if the hair structure takes on a vellus character, further laser treatment may be ineffective but other alternatives are available to treat stubborn hairs. Ultimately the results depend on many factors including: skin type, hair color, ethnicity, treatment area, hormone levels, drug interactions, and the cause of the hair growth if it has occurred unnaturally.
