Is Las Vegas dangerous?
Las Vegas is a big city now. But because of the abundance of money and the strength of the casino industry, there are high numbers of nearly invisible police and security personnel, and tourists are thus pretty darn safe. Making visitors feel both welcome and safe is the key to the growth of Las Vegas — fastest growing city in America for seven of the last 10 years as I recall — and so they do.
