Is laminitis reversible? Can the coffin bone rotate back to its pre-laminitis position?
The horse will never be as sound as he would have been had he not had laminitis. However, laminitis is treatable and to some extent the effects of the disease can be reversed. Although many of the horses can have improvement after re-growing their foot, they will always show the effects of having had laminitis.
