Is Lady Macbeth more the serpent or the innocent flower in Macbeth?

It is hard to imagine Lady Macbeth being called an “innocent flower”. Many of Shakespeare’s worst villains are tormented by specters of ghosts of people that they caused to die. They are often driven to a point of whimpering fear, but they don’t get their innocence back. I am thinking of both Macbeth and Lady Macbeth and Richard III as the best examples.
