Is lack of education the real problem in the climate debate?
Perhaps Mr. Holdren was being euphemistic. IMO, no. The real problem is preventing the GOP from trading clean air and water for lining their own pockets with big business’ greedy desire to make a killing and not just a living; and using the “jobs are at risk” carrot on the end of a stick to succeed. The American public is sick and tired of lies and subversion to move a big business agenda forward. Denial is more than just a river in Egypt. No amount of education can overcome intentional, purposeful ignorance in spite of overwhelming evidence to the contrary. All that whining about the deficit will fall on deaf ears because we’ll all be dead if we can’t breathe. None of it means anything if human beings can’t breathe clean air and drink clean water.
