Is Kyokushin Karate effective for self defence…….???
There is some truth to what you are saying but, for the most part, I think you are wrong. Kyokushin Karate is indeed a combat sport/martial art hybrid like Tae Kwon Do and Judo are. They have a sport that they do that is half of what they are about and the other is no-rules streetfighting self-defense. Now, some martial arts are strictly martial art and sport. Sports all have rules and regulations that must be strictly followed. It has no intentions of being for self-defense (officially speaking). These type are: Boxing, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Submission Wrestling, etc. Martial arts have no intention of sport and are just for self-defense. These are arts like: Aikido, Japanese Jiujitsu, Aiki-jiujitsu, etc. But, even though they are designed for self-defense only with no competitions they do follow rules and regulations while sparring/randori so, no one will get seriously injured. You rarely find a martial art or school that allows there students to spar full-contact without any rules o
