Is Kung Fu wushu an internal or external martial art?

0

Kung Fu is actually both internal and external chinese martial art. In more than 4,000 years of history, Chinese martial arts have lots of genre, some base on training muscle strength for (external) attack power, stamina & endurance. Some base on training internal energy (also known as “Chi”) for (internal) attack power, stamina & endurance. If you’ve watch some kung fu movies or martial art performance by Shaolin monks, i’m sure you saw them demonstrate both external (e.g. break the bricks with head) & internal (e.g. throw a needle through the glass or break stand the spear with the energy focus at the throat) skills. The famous Bruce Lee who learned “Wing Chun”, has a skill called “Chun Jin” (Inch Punch), which utilize the “Chi” and can unleash devastating power just within a short range of an inch. Watch the movie “Kill Bill” and you will understand, how Uma Thurman learned from his master and broke free from the coffin buried alive.
