Is krylon stone spray paint toxic to reptiles?

There are three parts of spray paint that are harmful to ALL living things. 1. The paint itself (details in this section are important)- most paint (including the kind you are using) contains toxic chemicals that can kill, or otherwise injure living things. These effects occur when the paint is wet and it is eaten. Once the paint is dry it is harmless (as long as the snake doesn’t try to eat the wall!) 2. The propellant- spray cans (not just paint) contain a gas under pressure. When the valve is opened the gas tries to push itself out of the container, which pushes the contents out as well. The most common gas used as propellant is carbon dioxide. Animals inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide; so if the snake is exposed to too much carbon dioxide and inhales it, the snake will die. However, plants take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen, so the carbon dioxide will be harmless to them. 3. Paint Vapor- same consequences as the paint itself only instead of eaten it is inhaled Final Ad
