Is Knee Microfracture surgery usually successful?
Microfracture surgery is a serious surgery and could make or break you. Just a few years ago, microfracture surgery was an extreme procedure and pretty much meaned you were going to have to make some changes in your daily life, but with modern technology, and great physical therapy, you can overcome the surgery and be good as new. There are even some Running Backs in the NFL that have had the surgery and have come back as good as they were before they had it done. Another noticable player that recently had this procedure done is Kellen Winslow Jr from the Cleveland Browns, their star tight end. He had the procedure done a couple months ago and is expected to be in training camp on day 1. The success rate varies because, it has alot to do with you, and how you take care of yourself during the recovery period. REST, REST, and REST, is vitale. Also, DO NOT PUSH YOURSELF, you will need to be careful as to not “over-do it” and try to push yourself or you could re-injure the knee. Listen to
