Most epoxy putties won’t hurt your hands if you clean them off right after using. Most of them need rubbing alcohol to get it off your fingersand to smooth and work the putty when still pliable. After putty is hard, definitely where a mask when sanding or making dust, outside if possible(dust is harmful). If you can, wet sand. Use wet/dry sandpaper dipped in a small container of water. Keep surfaces wet and no dust. Also produces a nicer finish. Start out with 320/280 and work your way up in number. 3m makes the best wet/dry paper.
