Is KMC an authorized tax collector for KCCI?
•-It has been a matter of grave concern which has come to light and continuing till date in the office of Kohima Municipal Council (KMC), just as a business person(s) goes to KMC office to collect a renewed annual trade license in the administration branch, suddenly, the staffs of KMC manning the counter would asked you, you have to pay Rs.300 per each trade license to the Kohima Chamber Commerce of Industry (KCCI). Now the big questioned is, who has authorized the KMC to be the authorized tax collector for KCCI in the office of KMC.
