Is KLEAR a lossy or lossless compression process?
KLEAR is a lossy process in that the original idata is replaced with the converted data. However, KLEAR does such a good job of representing the data, by minimizing errors in low frequency data, that converted and compressed data is virtually indistinguishable from the original. (Of course, this depends in part on the actual sampling co-rate that the original palette is created from) Who owns KLEAR? KLEAR was developed by Auralist, Lawrence A. Duhart. Aurally Yours.com holds exclusive rights to the KLEAR Technologies and Tayo Interactive Promotions currently administers the world wide licensing rights. Who is Aurally Yours?
