Is killing a rat as bad as killing a dog?

Some certainly disagree with this perspective, but my analysis… If the rat is someone else’s property or pet and not threatening, and the dog is wild, rabid and threatening, killing the dog is good and killing the rat is bad. If the rat is a diseased pest threatening the health of your family and the dog is not threatening and someone else’s pet or property, killing the dog is bad and killing the rat is good. Killing either just for the pleasure of watching something suffer and die is kinda sick… I’d call that one just as bad. If you are starving to death with no other source of food and plan to cook and eat it, neither is really bad. And so on…

depends on a purely philosophical level i’d rank the “horror” of killing somthing on Nature, and intelligence. for instance a dog could wipe the floor with a rat so killing the dog is worse, and a wolf could tear the dog up making the wolf worse and so on until you reach humans and dolphins (smart little aquatic mammals that they are) christianity’s bible says just don’t kill like anything common guys (for all the good that it’s done) i based the first part off a theory from The Vampire Earth (E.E. Knight) where the vampires feed off life force, determined by the two things mentioned in p1.
