Is Kids Karpet® extremely flammable considering it is a wood product?
No. Kids Karpet is naturally resistant to flame. The product is stored outside and contains internal as well as surface moisture content. Kids Karpet has undergone a series of testing performed by the SGS U.S. Testing Company Inc. The test is for Surface Flammability of Carpets and Rugs, 16 CFR Part 1630 FF1-70 & Part 1631 FF2-70. This test states that the specimen passes the test if the charred portion does not extend to within 1.0 inch of the hole in the flattening frame at any point. All specimens of Kids Karpet that were tested passed this criterion.
