Is kerosene subject to the motor fuel user fee?
Kerosene is not subject to the motor fuel user fee of 16 cents per gallon unless it is placed into the fuel supply tank of a highway vehicle or blended with motor fuel which is subject to the motor fuel user fee. Those using kerosene in this manner are required to obtain the appropriate motor fuel license and remit the motor fuel user fee directly to the Department of Revenue.
