Is Kairos just about structures and resources?
No! Change is at the heart of Christian life – as Cardinal Newman said, To live is to change, and to be perfect is to have changed often. If we are to attract people to the living God, God needs to live in us, helping us to grow and change in our own Christian lives. Therefore, without a strong emphasis on spiritual growth and renewal, Kairos is a waste of time. Thats why the bishop has asked the whole diocese to pray for Kairos, and the diocesan spirituality adviser, the Revd Dr Peter Lippiett, has put together a collection of Kairos prayers and scripture passages for meditation, which can be found in the Kairos handbook.
