Washington, DC – While John McCain today claimed that opposing the line-item veto “is in direct contradiction” with “a fundamental Republican principle of being economic conservatives and eliminating waste and pork barrel projects,” he failed to address what seems to be a fundamental contradiction in his own campaign.
