A. Yes! John Knox Village is fully accredited by the CARF-CCAC(Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities – Continuing Care Accreditation Commission) through 2008. CARF-CCAC accreditation is widely regarded as the “seal of approval” for Continuing Care Retirement Communities. Out of 2,145 Continuing Care Retirement Communities, John Knox Village was one of only 342 in the nation to receive accreditation in 2003 and we are currently one of only four facilities in the metro area to be accredited. CARF-CCAC is a voluntary review process that examines these areas: governance and administration, financial resources and disclosure, and resident life, health and wellness.
