Is jogging the same as running?
Jogging is generally considered to be aerobic exercise – that is, you are exercising at a rate you can maintain. Running is anaerobic – your body is using oxygen at a rate faster than you are taking it in, which means you need to rest after a while. Look up anaerobic exercise on Wikipedia for more information.
For me the difference between running and jogging is how far your stride extends from you center of gravity. That depends on the amount of forward thrust you are exerting. If you stub your toe and lose your balance and fall, you were probably running. If you can recover without falling, you are probably jogging.
