Is jigsaw really dead in saw?
He is as dead as any dead person; you can see for youself when they perform an autopsy on him in the beginning of saw 4, after his slit throat in 3. And autopsies are only performed to find the cause of death, so he is definately dead. It is very unlikely they would bring him back, as it would just jeapordise the main story of his long-lasting plan to have people carrying on his work as he once did. The only way they could bring him back is in some form of spiritual entity, which would contrast the whole meaning of his traps; which show death as being the end of life. He does, however, appear in every sequel made so far after his death, but only in flashbacks of his life before his death in saw 3.
