Is Jeffrey Taubenberger an Angel of Death?

Taubenberger’s work in recreating a deadly virus reminds me, at least, of Josef Mengele, the Nazi concentration camp physician who carried out cruel experiments also with viruses on prisoners, earning himself the sobriquet the Angel of Death.
