Is Jack Straw right to ask Muslim women to remove their veil?

On many occasions their expression gives their true feeling, not what they say. I think Jack Straw deserved far more support than he got from the wimps on the panel. If he is speaking to someone, he has every right to feel comfortable. Some Muslim women are foced to wear the veil and surely it is the duty of those who chose to wear it to respect the wishes of the person they have requested to speak to.
