Is J K Rowling now living in fantasy land?
JK Rowling struggled as a one-parent family when she came up with the Harry Potter books. She knows what its like to struggle and whats more she knows the reality of the provision for struggling families and the difficulties caused by being written off as workshy. She spends millions supporting children’s charities and gives most of her time to helping poor families. She donated this money citing the poor record of rich Tory politicians, dressing down and claiming a normal background whilst pointing to their vast knowledge of distressed families and how they are to blame for the poverty of the REST of us. The truth is there for us to see. To answer you again Helen S, yes there are rich politicians from all parties, although there are far more rich Tories than any other party, doesn’t this beg the bigger question, exactly WHY does a rich person want to be a politician.
