Is IV therapy included in the LPN/LVN Refresher Course?
IV therapy is defined and discussed including: recording, monitoring, types of IVs, equipment used, infusion rates, solutions and medications, TPN (total parenteral nutrition), bolus and intermittent injections, flushing, and nursing considerations. The IV Therapy portion of the LPN/LVN Refresher Course is limited. If you would like to become IV certified, Career Learning Centers provides a NAPNES approved IV Therapy Certification Program.
