Is ITIL relevant to the Indian industry?
I am involved in consulting related to ITIL, CMMI and Six Sigma best practices and I can assure you that Indian industries are increasingly taking the best practices from ITIL to improve their customer services and making their businesses more resilient to failures. I have, in fact done consulting engagements with large government companies which are re-aligning their IT departments to build a robust structure to better service their customers. We can safely assume the level of awareness within private organizations if there is so much awareness regarding the benefits of ITIL within the government sector.
