Is it yet possible to watch live satellite images of say new york yet?
You will not be able to watch live satellite images of any particular place on the earth, because the satellites which create the images on (say) Google Earth are in low orbit, and are not stationary over any part of the earth. Geostationary satellites which do remain apparently stationary over the Earth are in too high an orbit to give any detailed pictures of the ground below them. Even geostationary satellites are only stationary if they are over the equator and both New York and London are too far north to ever have continuous coverage..
