I dated 20-somethings when I was in my mid-teens so I really cant say much against it, but in relationships between kids and adults it is mainly going to be about sex and control. The older person in the relationship is generally more experienced an the younger one more naive. The older one is after the innocence and the younger is after the respect and to be thought of as mature. When the younger one gets older the relationship will most likely fall apart because a 16 year old still has a lot of changing ahead of them and they will not be the same person by the time they are 19.

My niece is 15, nearly 16 and she dates a 19 year old lad, in fact he’s been really good for her as she was well and truly going off the rails beforehand, so you just can’t go by stereotypes.
