Is it worth taking Spanish 1A in eighth grade?

This is a very personal decision. The pros to taking the 1A Spanish course over waiting for Spanish 1 in high school is that the student will get a good base and will have a chance to be acclimated to his surroundings before being challenged with new information. High school courses move at a quicker pace than in middle school. However, there will b a time the first months in Spanish 1 in high school, that the student will feel unchallenged in class. The student would need to be patient during this time, until the class starts 1B material.
