Make the switch. If you are on the first phase do not drink at all. If you are going to stay o n the first phase for all of you weight loss (I lose about 4 ponds/wk on phase 1) you must not consume more than 20 grams of carbs per day. Ultra has 2.6 so you want no more than 2-3 beers. Also know that the alcohol will wash the water out of your body and along with it the ketones. Remember the ketones are the chemicals from the breakdown of fat. They are your energy source. Since they are in the blood (the water part of blood called plasma) you will lose them in the water you piss off. Thus you will not have the energy source and feel weak. This may drive you to eat some lovely potatoes or other evil carbohydrate food. Now you have lost your two hard weeks to complete the first phase. Be careful make your choice wisely. Do not drink the average beer. It contains about 10-15 grams of carbs per 12 ounce beer.
