The Securities & Investment Institute Diploma is a professional level qualification for practitioners in the securities industry. Although not an essential requirement, prospective employers are likely to look favourably on you if you have gained the Securities & Investment Institute Diploma qualification, as it demonstrates high standards of performance, considerable breadth of understanding and clear career commitment. The Financial Services Authority (FSA) also recognises the Diploma (provided it includes a pass in Regulation and Compliance) as an approved threshold competency examination for a number of specified activities.
