Is it worth getting a tom tom satellite thingy – and speed camera detector software?
Ignore the holier that thous talking about not speeding, yes you should, I bought a Tom Tom one about 18 months ago and its brilliant – dead easy to use and the speed camera database gets updated regularly. If you get the camera databse from Tom Tom its 28 quid a year but you can probably get it cheaper elsewhere, all you do then is set up the cameras as points of interest and it boings to let you know you’re approaching one at whatever distance you set. As for getting the stuff on the unit, a USB cable and some software they provide, couldn’t be easier. Only other tip I can offer is this, when you take it off your windscreen, use a wet wipe to get rid of the suction mark it leaves on the screen, scumbags will look for that mark and break into your car to see if you’ve left it in the glovebox.
