I guess your true intent is known by only you and God. You are painting a nude and I am assuming it is the opposite sex you are painting and the person is very attractive… you don’t have to lust after her/him. You can paint the subject like an object of beauty… like painting a flower. There is some kind of a misunderstanding of this subject between folks that are part of the “Art World” (artists) and those that are not. I do remember when I was in college and we had our first nude model come in and my assumption was that it would be a beautiful female. We were all on those drawing “horses” in mixed company and I readied my drawing stuff as out of the corner of my eye I saw her come into the room and take position and drop her robe. To my shock and dismay… when I looked up it was a 70 year old man with his “junk” hanging out. Not my vision of beauty in the slightest… but it is about learning to draw and paint the human form.
