yes, it usually does not look right, however there are socks you can buy that can not be seen when you wear the ballet flats. if you dont like this option you could always wear tights or possibly knee socks, which is what people wear at my sisters school.

I wear little slip socks with ballet flats, they cover the bottom of your feet and you can’t see the sock on the exposed part of the shoes.
