Is it usual for Kingdom Halls not have windows?
Yes… Most have very few if any windows.. Most are build in a “quick build” not having openings for windows makes the build go faster because framing a window takes longer than framing a solid wall.. They also have few windows for security reasons.. Broken window/ graffiti etc.have been a real problem at KH’s.. It’s cheaper to repaint a wall than to get a new window… Then there’s maintenance costs… It costs more to heat/cool a building with more openings (windows/doors) as each connection to an opening is an opportunity for a leak…. More and more KH’s are being built with glass brick walls as the technology gets better making them more break resistant (Plexiglas bricks) and cleaning products are available to easily remove graffiti…
