Is it up to the council to grit the pavements?

0

I am a disable person and the council told me that they would try to put some grit on the street but residents are supposed to ring a free phone number and if somebody like me is in trouble then they would ask there gritting people to make an effort as soon as the main roads where clear. If they are in the area but only for disabled people that have to park there cars in there drive ways and there drives are on a hill. The Local government departments can only do what they can but if somebody is in such a position then they should inform there local council before the weather get bad, and they will put them on there list of priority’s but the roads have to be cleared first or the country come to a stop and then we are ALL IN TROUBLE SO USE YOUR HEADS AND IF YOU LIVE IN AN AREA WHERE THE SNOW IS OR GETS BAD.just do a little forward thinking instead of waiting until you are in trouble.
