Is it ture that sperm lasts up to 5 days in the female body?
Depends on where you are in your cycle. The survival of the sperm is dependent on what kind of cervical mucus the woman is producing. For a woman to conceive, she must produce what people call the egg white cervical mucus – this is what nourishes the sperms and keeps them alive long enough to reach the egg. A woman will usually start producing this type of cervical mucus up to 6 days prior to ovulation, therefore having sex any time during those days means a chance of pregnancy. If any other kind of cervical mucus is being produced, the sperm die almost immediately.
