Is it true the pineal gland produces DMT naturally and is involved in dreaming and death?
If there is DMT produced / present in the pineal gland, is not yet proven. It is only a hypothesis raised by Dr Rick Strassman due to the presence of certain enzymes and Strassman’s interest in the pineal.. The same for the connection of dmt and dream, and that dmt is released when we die, both are speculation, NOT a fact. It IS proven, though, for decades already, that DMT is produced in the human body and is present at all times in trace amounts, for unknown functions (which could be several functions). There is some speculation it may be involved in dreaming or that it may be released in Near-Death-Experiences but there seems to be no hard evidence showing this.
