Five robberies were reported in just under 11 hours Sunday night and this morning, raising the total number of holdups in and around Mobile to seven in just under 17 hours, police said. Police spokesman Cpl. Charles Bagsby said two gas stations — the Shell station at 7101 Zeigler Blvd. and Griffith Shell at 1260 Government St. — were robbed Sunday by men armed with a pistol. Hungry Howie’s pizzeria at 5701 Moffett Road fell victim to two robbers Sunday night, and the Circle K store at 1639 N. University Blvd. was robbed shortly before 3 a.m. today, Bagsby said. Also, an individual was robbed about 5:15 a.m. today outside the Greer’s food store at 2980 Spring Hill Ave., spokesman Officer Christopher Levy said. Earlier Sunday, the Family Dollar at 1354 Navco Road and the Dollar General at 4690 Spring Hill Ave. were robbed, Levy said. No one was injured, and no arrests have been made, police said.
