let me put it this way i spar with my friend who out weighs my by 50 lbs and is a weight lifter, when he gets his moment going he can be very powerful, when we are toe to toe, and exchanging strikes, his punches feel like nothing to, me i strike him much hard and move a lot fast then he does, when i strike i use technique more, when he is striking he is relying on his momentum and muscle to get him through it.
